Welcome to The Fudge Fairy! We are a husband and wife duo who absolutely LOVE what we do.
Our small fudge business started in 2022 as a result of The Fudge Fairy herself being diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer and subsequently losing her job. After spending most of her adult life working in the care sector she realised that the reality was no one cared when it really mattered and no matter what industry you worked in you were always only a number on someone’s payroll.
After some thought and a huge leap of faith she decided she would be her own boss and make fudge, something she had never made before but how hard could it be 🤣….. lots of trial and error later she got there. She started doing small local markets with around 12 flavours and it grew from there. In 2023 The Fudge Father was made redundant from his job but instead of this being something negative both Mr & Mrs Fudge took the bull by the horns and decided they could make it work for both of them 🤞… fast forward to now we have successfully launched our webpage and have a whopping 42 flavours of fudge on sale at any one time.
We are happy to report that Mrs Fudge Fairy will be celebrating 5 years since her diagnosis in October this year and although the effects of Chemotherapy, surgery & radiotherapy still take their toll on a daily basis she is cancer free.
Mr Fudge (the fudge father) is loving life being his own boss (so he thinks 😜).
